Whoever proves the corruption of the Uzhgorod mayor will receive the reward – 50,000 UAH. The brave must bring the mayor to court and wait for the appropriate sentence. Only after that the organizers will pay the reward.
The unusual contest is organized by the Democratic Alliance. Daredevils who will stand against corrupted mayors will receive the party’s information and organizational support – organizers assure on their official website.
"This is an unprecedented measure in the fight against corruption in Ukraine. For the first time, a public reward for corrupted official is declared. We begin with mayors because their corruption activities affect city residents the most. We plan to change the Ukrainian practice when officials live on a grand scale for people’s money. We hope that the announced reward will help punish corrupted officials," – the party leader Vasyl Hatsko said
One must inform in advance on their willingness to participate in the initiative – the organizers said.
