Protection against scammers: places for charity activities have been identified in Uzhgorod

At the meeting of the executive committee, the Uzhgorod city council identified places for conducting charity events to raise funds on the territory of the city – in the parks "Bozdosh" and "Pid Zamkom", on the square in front of the music and drama theater within the bounds of Kyivska embankment.

The decision was adopted in connection with the increase of cases of fund raising on the streets of Uzhgorod allegedly for Christmas and New Year holidays in orphanages, care homes for elderly people, ATO soldiers, children with cancer, homeless animals, etc.

The Department of Municipal Inspectorate will be exercising ongoing control over compliance with this decision within its own authority and will ensure the interaction with law enforcement authorities on law enforcement to prevent fraudulent actions by "pseudo-volunteers".
