Today, journalists of influential local publications, reporters of the central television channels and heads of journalistic organizations visited the prosecutor of the Transcarpathian region Volodymyr Havryliuk.
The reason for this was the opening of a criminal proceeding against the former reporter of the 1+1 TV channel in Transcarpathia, and now – the head of the social welfare department of Mukachevo City Council Natalia Zotova. The latter was opened based on the statement of Larisa Stupak, known for her pseudo-activist and pseudo-journalist activities for allegedly failing to provide her official information on a "journalistic" request.
Recall that the Journalistic Ethics Commission decided to release a statement on the public condemnation of the behaviour of the editor of the "Syla narodnoho kontrolyu – Chop" newspaper L. Stupak and the dissemination of the materials containing the offenses at N. Zotova and her colleagues.
According to the journalists, L. Stupak neglects the basic principles of journalistic ethics, is not a journalist, since she can not correctly communicate information in writing, besides, she uses journalism exclusively as a means to achieve her own mercantile goals.
Against this backdrop, the journalistic and bureaucratic authority of Natalia Zotova is flawless.
As discussed during the meeting, this case is just one of a whole bunch of examples of L. Stupak and her associates’ cynical activities in the field of pseudo-activism and pseudo-journalism. It, however, became the straw that breaks the camel’s back and made the journalists to come to the prosecutor’s office.
Following the conversation, V. Havryliuk promised journalists to conduct a comprehensive and impartial investigation of this case.
