Prosecutors on the seals of Precinct Election Commissions found found in the PR office in Tyachiv

Seals of precinct election commissions were found in Tyachiv office of the Party of Regions – prosecutors initiated a pre-trail investigation

As directed by Tyachiv District Prosecutor, the District Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Office in Transcarpathian region registered this information in the URPI and started pre-trial criminal proceedings on the grounds of a criminal offense under Part 1, Art. 357 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine over the discovery of seals of precinct election commissions in Tyachiv office of the Party of Regions, which remained there since the 2010 presidential election.

Procedural control in the said criminal proceedings is carried out by the Prosecutor’s Office in Tyachiv district.

Part 1 of Art. 357 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – theft, appropriation, extortion of official documents, stamps and seals, or obtaining them by fraud or abuse of office, as well as their intentional destruction, damage or concealment, and commission of the same action in respect of private documents kept at enterprises, institutions or organizations regardless of ownership, committed for mercenary motives or other personal benefit – punishable by a fine of up to fifty free minimum incomes, or restraint of liberty for a term up to three years.
