November 6, Prosecutor of Transcarpathian region instituted criminal charges over infliction of bodily injuries on the investigator of Irshava District Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Transcarpathian region by a group of people (Part 3 of Art. 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – punishable by imprisonment for a term of two to five years).
It was found out that on October 25, the policeman saw that at one of the cafes in the city of Irshava a group of young men were trying to force open the locked door. The policeman ordered them to stop hooligan actions. In response, the police officer got foul language in his address, and then hooligans knocked him off his feet and inflicted several more blows.
The criminal case has been forwarded to Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Transcarpathian region for investigation – informed the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Transcarpathian region.
