Prosecutor’s office set about death of the fishermen

The prosecutor’s office of Mukachevo is checking the materials into the death of the fishermen as a result of electric shock in the village of Pavshino, in the order of Article 97 of the CPC of Ukraine. The course of pre-investigation verification by the prosecution has been taken under control.

We remind that on June 4, seven Transcarpathians were fishing on an artificial lake in the village of Pavshino. Above the wooden pier at a height of seven metres there was a high-voltage power line. Throwing a rod one of the fishermen touched a live wire of 110,000 volts. The current was so strong that the guys were thrown into the water. Three of them died immediately. Four others were hospitalized in Mukachevo CRH with injuries of varying severity.

At present, operative search measures aimed at establishing the witnesses of the accident are being taken – the press service of the prosecution office in Transcarpathian region informs.
