The murder from negligence – that is the article according to which Uzhgorod Prosecutor Ivan Shtefanyuk instituted yesterday criminal proceedings on the fact of the schoolgirl’s death from electric current (Article 119 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – prescribes a restraint of liberty for the period of three to five years, or imprisonment for the same tem).
According to Uzhhorod Prosecutor Ivan Shtefanyuk ‘the received information in the course of investigation indicates that the cause of the girl’s fatal injury became the misuse of electric pumps. It was established that on one side the pump was under water and caused the power supply into the water’.
In order to clarify the circumstances of the child’s death, the Prosecutor’s Office engaged in all the relevant regulatory authorities: State Energy Supervision inspection in the Transcarpathian region, the territorial administration of SGS, ‘Zakarpateoblenergo’ workers, MOE experts and others.
Currently, the person who could be involved in this tragedy is established. The regional Prosecutor took on his personal control the course of investigation, – informs the press service of Transcarpathian Prosecutor’s Office.
