Project “A step to effective management in Uzhgorod”: what are they teaching?

For three days at the end of the last week, employees of various structural units of the Uzhgorod City Council were attending the final stage of a series of trainings in the framework of the joint project of twin cities of Uzhgorod and Kosice "A step to effective management in Uzhgorod" under the SlovakAid program. 

The coordinator of community development, coach Michał Smetanka taught how to engage the community, leaders in development, to make everyone works and interact according to the hive principle, how to form an effective development strategy. They studied the facilitation of public meetings – teamwork with people of different interests and status to solve problems; methods of assertiveness – asserting one’s view without aggression and violation of the rights of other people; the role of empathy; control of aggression, constructive resolution of conflicts, including the use of mediation, negotiation while developing strategies for development. 

Like previous ones, the classes were held in an interactive format, with work in teams, preparation of presentations, with practical examples.
