Program for St. Martin’s Day in Mukachevo

Rostislav Fediv, the first deputy mayor of Mukachevo, released a preliminary program for celebration of St. Martin’s Day, the patron saint of the city. 
Thus, the celebration will begin in the morning, at 9:00 in the Central Park. This is where the 2019 St. Martin Tournament will take place. 
18:00 Greek Catholic Assumption Cathedral – festival of choral music with the participation of choral groups of the region, within the project "MARTIN-MUSIC-FEST". Project curator: Yaroslav Bilychko 
November 10 
9:00 Central Park- VIII open petanque tournament "St. Martin – 2019". Triplets. 
From 11:00, the thematic photo-zone and gastro-location (fried goose, baked apples, chestnuts, honey, wine), the information zone will open on Cyril and Methodius square. 
Students of the Faculty of Hotel and Restaurant Business of Mukachevo State University will prepare "St. Martin’s Buns" to raise charitable contributions to help the needy.  
10:30 St. Martin’s Cathedral – Solemn service for St. Martin’s Day. 
14:00 Quest Tour for Children "Under the Protection of St. Martin" within the "Know Your Hometown" program (pre-registration at the info point from 11:00 to 13:30) 
17:00 St. Martin’s Cathedral – a solemn worship service for St. Martin’s Day. 
18:00 St. Martin’s Cathedral – the grand performance of Franz Schubert’s "Mass G-dur" for soloists, choir and string orchestra, under the project "MARTIN-MUSIC-FEST". 
18:50 – Start of the festive procession with lanterns. 
19:00 – Staged performance, excerpts from the life of St. Martin (near the monument to St. Martin) 
19:20 – Welcome speech by Mayor of Mukachevo Andriy Baloha 
Awarding of pre-school educational establishments. 
Opening of the first barrel of new wine. Symbolic sprinkling of land with wine for fertility in the coming year; 
19:45 – Fire show from The Fire Life Theater (the city of Uzhgorod) 
November 11 
11.30 St. Martin’s Cathedral – Solemn service for St. Martin’s Day. 
18:00 Cyril and Methodius Cathedral (Rosvyhivska st. 17-b) – concert of Ukrainian spiritual music from classical to modern, within the project “MARTIN-MUSIC-FEST.
