The results are obvious! 3.5 kg of pseudoephedrine and several sachets of amphetamine. Criminal proceedings have been instituted over smuggling of psychotropic substances and precursors under Article 305 of the Criminal Code.
Transcarpathian Customs of the State Customs Service in cooperation with the Department of Specialized Training and Cynological Support and with the support of the EXBS Program of the Embassy of the United States of America constantly increase the level of professional competence, organization of professional training and introduction of innovative forms of professional development.

Thus, this year the officials of the customs clearance and customs offenses countering units underwent another training according to the training program "Profiling and inspection of cars at car checkpoints."

The completed training course has already produced concrete results! Thus, in July this year, customs officers found more than 52,000 pseudoephedrine tablets in a suitcase of a Transcarpathian returning home from the Czech Republic via the customs post "Tisa". The man tried to bring 6683 tablets of "CIRRUSduo" and 45659 tablets of "AcatarACTI-TABS" weighing a total of 3.5 kg to the territory of Ukraine in washing powder under the guise of factory packaging. The precursor was intended for further processing into a psychotropic substance pervitin.

A few days later, customs officers detected another offense at the same customs post. A resident of Tyachiv district returning from the Czech Republic tried to bring a psychotropic substance to Ukraine – amphetamine (0.00134 kg). The hidden white-beige substance with a specific smell in a bag was found by a sniffer dog.

And the other day, officers of the dog training department, while checking a Chernivtsi resident who was returning from Italy in a minibus, found two bags of amphetamine weighing 0.00927 kg, hidden in the waist belt of a purse. As a result, criminal proceedings were instituted over all instances of smuggling of psychotropic substances and precursors under Article 305 of the Criminal Code, the Press Service of the Transcarpathian Customs reported.
