In Uzhgorod, at the base of the 15th separate mountain infantry battalion of the 128th brigade, students were learning military profession. For two days, professional soldiers, who were fighting in the east, were teaching boys and girls the basics of warfare – how to handle weapons, throw grenades, overcome obstacles, provide first aid on the battlefield and, of course, shooting: everyone was given 15 rounds to hit a target with a rifle.  The initiator of the two-day training for high-school students of the city of Uzhgorod and Uzhgorod district was the military commissar of Uzhgorod colonel Mykola Zhuravlev, who himself is a participant of the ATO. He notes that, unfortunately, in the years before the events in the East, very little attention had been paid to the military-patriotic education of youth, so he initiated this training so that high-school students, if it becomes necessary, would have both patriotic motivation and practical skills to defend the homeland
