On Friday, September 8, on the occasion of the Day of Physical Education and Sports, which is celebrated in the country on the second Saturday of September, a sports festival was held on Narodna Square in Uzhgorod. During the day, master classes, trainings, sports duels, demonstration performances were taking place there.
The best athletes were awarded with diplomas of the Regional State Administration and the Regional Council, as well as badge "For the development of physical culture and sports", the press service of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration reports. Prize-winners of European and world championships and cups and their coaches received cash prizes, as well as certificates of the title of the master of sports of Ukraine and the master of sports of Ukraine of international class. Representatives of the federation for sports, that were deemed the best in the sports season, were given equipment and sports uniforms.
A candidate for the National Paralympic wheelchair fencing team of Ukraine Nadiya Dyoloh received from the region’s leaders a certificate for a specialized fencing wheelchair.
For the significant personal contribution to the development of physical culture and sports of the region and high professionalism, the insignia of the Regional State Administration "For merits to Transcarpathia" was awarded to the coach of the school of higher sportsmanship, the coach of the winners of world competitions Anatoliy Herey.
