The largest Ukrainian bank "PrivatBank" limited cash withdrawals from ATMs to 1000 UAH per day.
The financial institution has introduced temporary restrictions on cash withdrawals from ATMs, the press service of the bank reported.
"In the environment of geopolitical instability and numerous provocations by external forces in some regions of Ukraine, the limit on cash withdrawals will allow to ensure free access to cash to all customers, regardless of income and savings. Also, temporary restriction of cash turnover is necessary to prevent forces working to destabilize the situation to receive funds in Ukraine" – the first deputy chairman of the "Privatbank" Oleg Gorokhovsky reported.
In addition, cash and non-cash loans will be temporarily unavailable for individuals and businesses.
Cards from other banks are served by "Privatbank" ATM network in all regions of Ukraine, except the Crimea.
According to the bank management, they have ensured an ample supply of cash for operation under peak loads. Restrictions do not apply to non-cash payments by cards.
According to the "Ekonomichna Pravda", "PrivatBank" owned by Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky has prepared for war, by limiting cash withdrawals from ATMs.
