During the visit, Volodymyr Groysman visited a Hungarian-language school, walked the city and visited the recently opened Administrative Services Center in the City Council building.
On the official page, Volodymyr Groysman described his impressions of the Uzhgorod school:
"Uzhgorod school number 10 with Hungarian language of instruction. This is one of more than 100 schools, where the teaching is conducted in Hungarian, Romanian, Slovak.
In general, over 20,000 students in the region are taught in languages of national minorities. Almost 500 of them are here.
Four years ago, an experiment began in the region – they started to study Ukrainian in depth in schools with Hungarian language of instruction. Now its participants are more than 2.6 thousand pupils from 47 schools. Special textbooks are issued for them.
Last year, 12 students in the school number 10 took the test in the Ukrainian language and literature and passed it successfully."
