Prices for pork are preparing a New Year’s gift for Ukrainians

Over the next three months, the cost of pork will rise by 15-25%.

This was stated by the president of the Association of Farmers and Private Landowners of Ukraine Ivan Tomych, reported the "Comentari."

"The situation on the market of feed grain changes daily. Prices have gone up already by 30-35% and in a month they will rise to 60%. To be objective, in connection with the above processes, the meat will rise by 10-20%," – said Tomych.

According to him, pork will rise the most – 15-25%, the price of beef will be more "moderate" – 7-8%, chicken will rise by about 10%.

"The government is deliberately temporarily restraining price growth, but after the elections, the chain will break," – said Tomych.

He predicts that early next year, prices will reach "critical level": the meat will rise by almost 30%.
