President Zelensky is going to Transcarpathia: the purpose of the visit is known

According to local media, the president is scheduled to visit Uzhgorod on September 25. He will arrive to the regional center of Transcarpathia by car from Slovakia, where it is planned to sign an agreement on the use of the Slovakia’s airspace at the Uzhgorod airport, which will allow its operation. 
Also on this day, Zelensky will visits the Eurocar plant, where Škoda cars are assembled, as well as the city of Beregovo. 
Representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure will arrive in Uzhgorod today to make preparations for this visit. Agenda: selection of location for the new airport which is planned to be built along with the cargo terminal. The Transcarpathian Regional State Administration has already held several meetings on this topic with potential investors. It is already known that Mukachevo, at present, is not considered as an option for the construction of the airport. 
Currently, two main options for building an airport are being considered – near the village of Serednye and in the triangle between the villages of Syurte-Kholmok-Palad-Komarivtsi. It is possible that the new location for the construction of the airport will be announced publicly during Zelensky’s visit to Transcarpathia.
