President of “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy” supported Volodymyr Smolanka

"If I lived in Uzhgorod now, then of course I would vote for Volodymyr Ivanovich – the president of the oldest and most democratic in the country Kyiv-Mohyla university Serhiy Kvit said on Sept. 19 during a meeting with students of regional schools. – Think for yourselves, but I believe that it is such intelligent decent people who must represent our region in the parliament." 

Serhiy Mironovich was born in Uzhgorod. He visits our land quite often, because his father, who, by the way, a few years ago was operated by Volodymyr Smolanka, lives here.

 "Our countryman Serhiy Mironovich is the president of one of the highest-rated universities in Ukraine. He comes here quite often. So I could not but to use this opportunity to introduce him to students – said Volodymyr Smolanka. – I can say that the philosophy of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy aims to ensure that students are open, feel comfortable, develop creative thinking. This is what our guest called for, and this is what motivates me in my daily practice." 

Also the professor said that after graduation, people should be able to write a grant application, go to work in such organiztion where they have to act creatively. However, most of Ukrainian universities just "pack" persons with knowledge, they may not always apply. That is the Soviet education system died, and the government has failed to develop a new one. Therefore, scientists see that the education needs to be totally changed.
