Preshov (slovak. Prešov) – a city in eastern Slovakia on the River Torysa, the administrative center of Presov region and Presov district.
Preshov is a sister city of Mukachevo and there is a cultural center with which our region has always had close contact. Preshov does not lie on Ukrainian ethnographic territory, but it is it’s natural center, and is a center of Ukrainian Rusyns in Slovakia.
Elegant, well maintained historic town is a great place for "cozy" tourism. Old streets breathe with peace, Preshov fascinates with its own aura – Europeanness and slow pace. However, the city center is truly amazing – in particular, the painted facades re very interesting. By the way, some of these intricately designed buildings are not too old and belong to the Soviet era.
Well it looks like that the inhabitants are in love with their city.
