Presentation on the City Day

The history of Uzhgorod on the canvas 
On the occasion of the City Day, the staff of the museum’s department of history and local lore will present the work of the famous Transcarpathian painter Shandor Petki "Uzhgorod is being built" from 1962. The topic was so relevant and popular that the painting was purchased by the Transcarpathian Museum of Local History in 1968. 
The work was first presented at the personal exhibition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the teaching and the 20th anniversary of the creative career of Shandor Petki in November of the same year in the premises of the former Writers’ Club (now – the Writers’ Union). Source. The painting "Uzhgorod is being built" will be complemented with original exhibits from the private archive of the Petki family: invitation to the personal exhibition of Shandor Petki with his autograph and 1962 exhibition catalog.
