On Monday, December 17, at 5:00 pm, the Literary Club "Reading Together" invites to the Transcarpathian Regional Universal Scientific Library to talk about children’s winter books.
On the eve of St. Nicholas Day, writer Oleksandr Havrosh will tell about new Christmas stories, and artist Olena Bugrenkova – about the art of creating illustrations for children.
Oleksander Havrosh is a children’s writer, known primarily for books about Ivan Strong and Pyntya the Robber. Recently, the writer published two books on winter holidays – "Museum of Adventures", which is set on the night before St. Nicholas Day in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, and "Christmas Story of a Donkey", which tells about Transcarpathia.
Olena Bugrenkova is illustrator and designer from Uzhgorod, who illustrated more than a dozen books for leading Ukrainian publishing houses – "A-BA-BA-GA-LA-MA-GA", "Vivat", "ArtBooks" – and also collaborates with children’s magazines. And recently, the artist published her own books – "My First Wimmelbook: Seasons" and "How to Get to the Moon?". In addition, Ms. Ollena makes original handmade toys.
The event will take place on December 17, at 17:00. The admission is free.
