Potters present the exhibition “Prima Terra” (Announcement)

October 16 at 16.00, in the "Uzhgorod" gallery, there will be the opening of the Second Regional Exhibition of Ceramics "Prima Terra".

Transcarpathian ceramists have been holding their own exhibitions for 5 years, so it is an important event for them – the organizers say. The the exhibition will also be an interesting event for visitors, as it presents a wide variety of genres and all the works were carefully selected.

The exhibition will feature works of local ceramists, including Vyacheslav Vinkovsky, Miroslava Rosul, Natalia Popova, Jaroslav Boretsky, Natalia Boretska-Grabar, Yelizaveta Miravchyk-Rakovich, Yulia Egorova-Rogova and others, as well as guests from Kyiv and Lviv, who were born or have received art training in Transcarpathia.

The artists interpret the title of the exhibition "Prima Terra" philosophically: on the one hand, it is the "first land" that is, virginal, pristine land, on the other hand, it is "first, the earth", which indicates the artists’ love for ceramics, that workin with earth, or clay, is in the first place for them.
