Postage stamp with Transcarpathian postman Fedir Feketa was put into circulation (PHOTOS)

Ukrposhta has released a new stamp "Postman Fedir Feketa". This was reported by the CEO Ihor Smilyanskyi.
The stamp depicts Transcarpathian postman Fedir Feketa (1789 – 1838), who was delivering mail on foot for 30 years at any time of year in any weather. Several times a week, he would walk more than 25 kilometers in the mountains to Uzhgorod and back. The man was a native of the  village of Turyi Remety in Perechyn district. ⠀   
The stamp "Postman Fedir Feketa” has a run of 100,000 copies, its face value is Z (1 US dollar). The image on the stamp was designed by artist Iryna Medvedovska. Also the First Day envelope was issued, and a special postmark was made. The stamp was nominated in the PostEurop competition for the best stamp of Europe-2020 on the topic "Ancient postal routes".
