Police in Transcarpathia are closely monitoring the observance of election laws on the election day

Transcarpathian law enforcement officers are monitoring the situation in the region today, on the day of elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. All polling stations in Transcarpathia opened in time, no violations of the law were recorded. The polling stations are guarded by police officers.  

– All 811 polling station election commissions in Transcarpathia began their work on time. As of 9:00 am, no offenses at the polling stations were recorded. 1287 police officers are involved in the protection of public order during the electoral process in the region, – the acting chief of the Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathian region, Colonel Andriy Rubel reported. 

Almost all the personnel of the Transcarpathian police are involved in ensuring the electoral process in the region. Police officers have been on duty at every polling station since Friday.    

The Situation Center is monitoring the situation in the region round-the-clock. Additional investigative groups were formed, special units have been involved in order to respond immediately to crisis situations. The police in the region will make every effort to ensure no violations of public order during the election. 

Recall that from July 15 to July 28, all National Police of Ukraine is on high alert in order to ensure the observance of the law during the electoral process in the country. At the same time, the police remains apolitical and will respond to all violations of electoral law.
