The campaign, which should show the unity of Ukrainians in sorrow and in joy, was attended by law enforcement officers. The evidence of this was posted by the Regional Police Department on its official page.
"Transcarpathian police, veterans and retired policemen of the region took active part in the meeting. Police officers were not only ensuring public order during the rally, but also lit candles in memory of the victims in the Donbas" – it is stated in the report.
Recall that the mourning procession, which was attended by over five hundred concerned Transcarpathians, marched today, January 18, from Teatralna Square to Shevchenko monument on Narodna Square in front of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. Here, there was a memorial service for the victims in Volnovakha, in eastern Ukraine in general, and on the Maidan, which was conducted by members of the clergy.
