Poland has not restricted gas supplies to Ukraine, – Gaz System

The company Gaz System, which manages the Polish gas transmission system, reported that since the beginning of October, they have not restricted gas supplies to Ukraine via Poland, which are carried out in accordance with the customer’s orders.

This was announced by the press service of the company on Monday, as cited by the UNIAN.

Earlier, it was reported that gas deliveries to Ukraine via Poland are carried out by the German company RWE Supply & Trading under the contract with the Ukrainian "Naftogaz".

Since the beginning of this month, Ukraine also began to buy gas under the contract with the Norwegian Statoil, which is delivered through Slovakia.

According to Gaz System, since the beginning of October, the average daily volume gas supplies to Ukraine via Poland has declined to about 2.5 million cubic meters, while in September the figure was about 3.9 million cubic meters.

As reported last month, Gaz System suspended gas supplies to Ukraine for two days, explaining this decision by saying that the Russian "Gazprom" has cut fuel supplies to Poland, and the company was forced to redirect the flow of gas to the domestic market.
