Pogorelov decided to reorganize the city council

Six months before the local elections, the Mayor of Uzhgorod Victor Pogorelov decided to once again reorganize the council. 

Thus, according to the draft decision "On the structure of the executive bodies of the council, the total number of staff of the council and its executive bodies," 251 employees will be approved in the City Council.

The Mayor will still have four deputies. The largest in the executive committee structure will be the social protection department – 48 persons, and the municipal economy department – 28.

It is also proposed to dissolve the Department of International Cooperation and European Integration; the Department of Investment, Innovation, Development and Tourism; the Department of City Planning and Architecture, the Department of Land Use.

Instead, there will be created the Department of International Cooperation, Investment and Tourism; the Department of Architecture, City Planning, Land Resources, the Information and Public Relations Service – Media Centre.

Under the draft decision, the Department of Architecture, City Planning, Land Resources shall be recognized the assignee of the Department of City Planning and Architecture, the Department of Land Use.

It is also proposed to rename the department of internal policy, organizational work and public relations in the department of internal policy and organizational work.
