March 19, on the birthday of the famous Ukrainian writer Lina Kostenko, in the Transcarpathian Regional Scientific Library, there was an evening of the sixties poetry. Students and teachers of Uzhgorod National University came to listen to interesting thoughts, to enjoy the poetic word, the Media Center of UzhNU informs.
On the birthday of Lina Kostenko not only her poetry was heard, but also that of her fellow writers who began work in the 1960s – Vasyl Symonenko, Ivan Drach, Iryna Zhylenko, Ivan Kalynets, Petro Skunts and others. The llibrary visitors enjoyed the whole palette of moods and voices with the help of young readers, members of the literary studio "Poetic word" led by their head Natalia Yakushko.
During the creative readings, every visitor was able to try their luck in the lottery. The lucky winners chose from the offered books, and the library staff will give the proceeds to the needs of Transcarpathian soldiers.
