New plates for the streets and squares of Transcarpathia renamed under the de-communization campaign have been delivered to the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the correspondent of the UNN informs.
Thus, 94 signs were made at the expense of the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal, because expenditures for this purposes are not provided in the state budget. The new streets bear the names of the heroes killed in the east, as well as historians, musicians and artists.
Two plates for the square named after Andy Warhol and the street named after John Lennon are stylized.
Now the plates with new names will be handed over to local authorities, who will present them to Transcarpathians.
Recall that John Lennon street used to bear the name of Vladimir Lenin.
