The well-known campaign of Transcarpathian volunteers "Photo of a Patriot" is returning to the regional center.
On August 23 and 24, on the Ukrainian Banner Day and Independence Day, in the yard of the Owl’s Nest complex (Rakoczy Street, 1) in Uzhgorod, you will once again be able to have your photo taken and also to help the troops.
The "Photo of a Patriot" campaign started in Uzhgorod following the projects in other cities of Ukraine in August 2014 and raised a significant amount of money to support the Ukrainian army during the most difficult period of the war.
This time, the volunteers of the Movement to support Transcarpathian soldiers will conduct the campaign within the framework of the project "This Way We’ll Win!" which is taking place in Uzhgorod.
"We invite everybody to the campaign "Photo of a Patriot", which will take place on August 23 and 24 in the "Owl’s Nest" (Rakoczy st., 1). On the Day of the Banner and Independence Day of Ukraine the best Uzhgorod photographers are gathering together to take people’s portraits with the Ukrainian flag. The idea is simple: we give you a great photo, you give a few hryvnias for the Transcarpathian soldiers. There is no fixed fare, you can throw in the box as much as you want. The proceeds will be used for the needs of our soldiers. Come to have your pictures taken and bring friends!", – the initiators of the event invite.
The photos taken during the campaign will be posted on the "Photo of a Patriot – Uzhgorod" page.
Also within the framework of the project "This Way We’ll Win!", there will be an evening race on the Day of the Banner of Ukraine "Running for a Soldier" – on August 22, the registration near the Regional Drama Theater will begin at 19.00, no restrictions on age, sex and experience.
And already this Thursday, August 17, ATO veterans and everyone else are invited to the screening of the film "Ilovaysk. Knights of the Sky" (19.00, conference hall "Owl’s Nest").
The organizers remind: the exhibition "For Fighters From Artists" in the "Owl’s Nest" gallery is open every day until August 24, from 12.00 to 20.00. You can view the exhibited works online here: https://www.facebook.com/events/248758995634838/?fref=ts
