Photo exhibition on the Russo-Ukrainian war will be held in Uzhgorod (Announcement)

From August 18 to September 3, a photo-exhibition of the military correspondent Oles Kromplyas about the Russo-Ukrainian war will be held in the Ilko Gallery.

PROMKA is a photo-project about the events in the Avdiyivka industrial area and its defenders. This is a series of black and white and polaroid photographs of Ukrainian heroes, who every day fulfill their duty to defend the Ukrainian statehood under constant bombardments. These pictures were taken during October-November 2016.

The purpose of this photo report is simple – to remind, first and foremost, Ukrainians and the world community that the war in Ukraine continues. The best sons of Ukraine die every day and the statehood is still in danger. It’s not time to lay down arms and relax. Now, as never before, Ukraine’s armed forces need support from a consolidated community.

Kromplyas Oles (Lesko Kromplitz) is an activist, volunteer, journalist and war correspondent.
A participant of the Revolution of Dignity, where he was not only an activist, but also a photographer. His works were selected for a collection of 50 best photos from the Maidan.
