Phone fraudster ‘extorted’ 1200 hryvnia from Rakhiv district dweller

The victim of unknown individual became the entrepreneur from Rakhiv district. The man received SMS message that he is a member of 10,000 hryvnia lottery. In order to take part in the final drawings, he should buy 30 refill cards with nominal value of 40 hryvnia each and dictate codes of bought cards by phone… Of course, all this clearly looks like a fraud, but trustful man believed in this and did everything as it was said. As a result, he lost 1200 hryvnia, and the fraudster, of course, does not answer the phone…

When the man realized that he was deceived, he turned with a statement to the police by indicating a phone number from which he was called. Unfortunately, to detain the fraudster is almost impossible, because he apparently lives in other regions and can simply throw this phone card away.

Therefore, the only thing remains is to be vigilant and do not trust to anyone.
