The Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv reminded that the "Transcarpathian Beaujolais" would begin on Thursday, November 14, traditionally with the symbolic uncorking of the first barrel of wine of this year’s harvest. Visitors will be able to taste and buy young wine in the historical and cultural complex "Owl’s Nest", cheesemakers will alsobe selling their products there, dishes of Transcarpathian cuisine will be sold in the park nearby. The Head of the Union of Private Winemakers of Transcarpathia, Oleksandr Kovach, noted that this "Transcarpathian Beaujolais" is the 12th, and it is a solid age for the festival movement. Uzhgorod new wine festival gives an opportunity to attract tourists and fill hotels in the middle of November, during the most depressing tourist period. The Deputy Director of the Utility Company "Pid Zamkom" Fedir Koval said that a large stage would be set up near the "Owl’s Nest", on Saturday, ethno bands "Antsya" and "Rokash" will perform, and on Sunday – the winner of the "2019 Chervona Ruta” First Prize in the rock music genre – band “Vandor”. The Mayor Bohdan Andriyiv stressed that "Transcarpathian Beaujolais is not only an opportunity to taste and buy wine – it is also continued popularization of the culture of wine production and consumption, there will be lectures from experts on grape cultivation, wine drinking and more. "We invite Uzhgorod residents and guests of our city on November 15-17, bring just a good mood, everything else you will definitely find at the festival," – the mayor of Uzhgorod summed up.
