On Friday, March 20, at 19:00, in the "Art Center "Ilko Gallery", there will be the concert of the Italian project "Above The Tree".
The musical path of Marco Bernacchia aka Above the Tree started with classical training when he was a kid. But he liked to experiment with sounds, that could be made on his little guitar, not only by strumming, but also by banging and scratching on it. So he began to explore the sounds made by instruments.
His compositions are a mixture of simple blues, folk and popular tunes in which classical elements are interwoven with the old blues and psychodelia.
Since the project foundation, the music of "Above the Tree" has been distinguished for extraordinary combination of folk and avant-garde.
The style of "Above the Tree" is an endless intertwinement of African traditional music, original blues and avant-garde experimentation with sound. At the same time, Marco does not forget about pop music and performance: his live performances are always accompanied by a spectacular dance and sometimes he even performs wearing a rooster mask.
