Peak blooming in the Narcissus Valley is expected on 13-14 on May

Although, there is not yet mass blooming of flowers, last weekend (6-7 May), the Kireshi tract (near the town of Khust in Transcarpathian region) was crowded. Typically, the phenomenon of "mass blooming" of daffodils occurs on 9-15 of May. This year the spring was quite cold, and blooming started later. Last weekend (May 6-7), the percentage of blooming was within 30-35%. So, the best time to enjoy mass flowering will be the next weekend – 13-14 of May.

Tourists naively think that they can lie down in the grass and pick daffodils there, but the field is fenced and for each picked flower you will be fined 49 hryvnia! However, even at the entrance to the reserve, enterprising locals may sell you a whole bunch of rare daffodils!

There is the environmental and educational center "Museum of Narcissus" in the reserve. It is a classic example of a European visitors’ center with stands, showcases and turnstiles. During the flowering period, it is always crowded, you can meet tourists not only from all over Ukraine, but also from abroad.

The fees for walking tour of the Narcissus Valley this year (including a visit to the environmental and educational center) are: 25 UAH – for adults, 20 UAH – for students, 15 UAH – for schoolchildren.
