November 8 the story of the meeting of the district election commission 71 centered in Khust was continued.
November 5 the revised protocols in accordance with the electoral law were taken to the CEC. Since the CEC found inaccuracies in the electoral documentation, Nov. 6 the protocols were returned to correct technical errors.
Instead, the district commission, consisting mostly of people close to Stepan Derkach, began to consider at the meeting on November 7 the appeal of Mr. Derkach and regulations of Lviv appellate court to declare the vote in some polling stations invalid.
This decision of the district commission was contested by the parliamentary candidate Pavlo Baloha. November 8 at about 11 o’clock the DEC by fax received the decision of Transcarpathian Regional Administrative Court on opening administrative proceedings, as well as on the completion of the preparatory proceedings and the assignment of the case to trial under the complaint of Baloha Pavlo Ivanovich.
Valery Shcherbyna, the lawyer of the DEC: "He is contesting our yesterday’s decision to invalidate the vote in the polling stations 481, 522, 523. After that there was a separate decision with the demand to provide materials regarding decisions taken by us. And since about 11 o’clock and up till now, the commission has been mainly preparing materials for their presentation in court."
Two members of the DEC went to Uzhgorod with all documentation relating to yesterday’s meeting and the decisions adopted at it. Lawyer Valery Shcherbyna said that that there was the explanation or more accurately the letter from the CEC that the district commission must consider all court decisions. After that – separate opinions, complaints, claims of the participants of the meeting on November 7. For now, according to data published on the official website of CEC, the winner in the constituency number 71 is Pavlo Baloha.
