The regatta for lovers of extreme sport is traditionally held at the end of July. The International Regatta "EuroTisa" was held on the Transcarpathian Tisa for the 45th time. This year, the youngest participant of water activities – a Hungarian girl – is 18 months old, gray-haired Ehri-Kish couple are the oldest. They are 75 years years old.
In general, the regatta lasts ten days and the route extends for 291 kilometers. They ran down from Rakhiv on rafts, then from Bushtyno to Tokaj – on canoes. For two days, the athletes were in Vynogradiv, in the Vinnychki tract.
The coordinator of the Ukrainian part of the regatta – the executive director of the International Forum "For Tisa", the head of Vynogradiv District Union of Green and Boating Tourism Development Karlo Sabov said that the extremals make 20-30 km every day. In Tiszabecs they passed the customs control… on the water. Accompanying trucks move on highways.
The Ukrainian group of the international regatta "EuroTisa 2013" consisted of 16 people. One of them is Andriy Demidov with his nephew from Uzhgorod:
– I am a member of the Ukrainian-Hungarian boating club and have been participating in the regatta for four years in a row. This year, our group of 3 persons ran in a canoe.
Undisputed leaders and the core of the club are gray-haired husband and wife, Tibor and Ponno Ehri-Kish. Dr. Tibor is the founder of the boating club and has organized annual extreme trips since 1965.
