Palm Sunday is one of the most joyous and brightest Orthodox holidays

On Palm Sunday, people bless willows. According to Christian teachings, on this day, Christ the Savior rode into Jerusalem on a donkey and people were laying palm leaves before him. Since palm trees do not grow in Ukraine, they were replaced with willow branches. This tree has long been highly respected by our people because it is the first to proclaim the arrival of spring and has healing properties.
