Over the past two months, almost 50% of border guards in Transcarpathia have been replaced

State Border Guard Service of Ukraine continues to take measures to prevent the involvement of their staff in the illegal activity. Thus, for the past two months, the senior management of the state border guard bodies in Transcarpathia has been completely replaced. Also, over 60% of border guard service department heads in the region have been replaced.

According to the materials of the internal security department in Mukachevo and Chop border guard detachments of the Western regional office of the State Border Guard Service, 28 internal investigations have been conducted. Based on their results, 77 border guards have been brought to justice. Of those, 17 were dismissed, 6 were demoted, 47 were moved out of units.

According to the results of the operational materials of the internal security department, together with the police and the military prosecution, criminal proceedings against 14 border guards have been initiated. 10 cases have been registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations.
