Over the course of the day, Tyachiv and Uzhgorod policemen solved 4 burglaries

In Uzhgorod and Tyachiv district, the criminal police detained six person suspected of burglaries. The stolen items were seized. Criminal proceedings were opened over the incidents.

Officers of Uzhgorod Criminal Police Department quickly detained a suspect in the theft of metal products. The crime was reported by a 45-year-old Uzhgorod resident. The woman noticed that someone had damaged the door at the boiler room of the house and stolen metal pipes. In a few hours, police officers identified the suspect and detained him.

As the police found out, the victim’s ex-husband was suspected of the burglary. He confessed and told that he had sold the pipes and spent the money.
Uzhgorod police investigators initiated a criminal proceeding under part 3 of Article 185 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Another five suspects in burglaries were arrested by the law enforcement officers of Tyachiv district. Overnight, officers of the criminal police sector solved thefts in the villages of Bushtyno, Solotvyno and Hrushovo.

A few days ago in the village of Bushtyno two locals broke a lock on the cellar of a fellow villager and stole from there two washing machines and a water pump. The 28 and 31-year-old men were detained, they are currently giving evidence. The pieces of evidence will be returned to the owner after examination.

Another burglary was solved by the police in the village of Solotvyno. According to the victim, two electric welding machines and electric saws were stolen from the utility room of his house. The police found out that the two previously convicted residents of the same village were involved in the commission of the crime. The stolen item were seized from the 29-year-old and 21-year-old men.

And in the village of Hrushovo, Tyachiv district, officers of the criminal police sector found the man suspected of the theft of two batteries from a pensioner’s utility room. The 42-year-old ex-convict admitted to the crime.

Pre-trial investigations in all cases are ongoing. The choice pre-trial restarint against the detainees is being decided.
