As of 19:00 on February 4, 13 households, 385 hectares of farmland and 4.3 hectares of gardens remain flooded, in particular:
– Mukachevo district – 33 households;
– Vynogradiv district – 385 hectares of farmland and 4.3 hectares of gardens;
Flood water broke onto the roadbed on the local road in Vynogradiv district, the village of Shalanky (up to 0.3-0.5 m deep).
Because of snow melting and ice drifting, on the rivers of Irshavka, Lyutyanka, Latorytsya, there are 3 ice jams that do not impede water flow within the channel. 5 pyrothechnic teams from Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil and Khmelnytsky regions, and 2 teams of the Special Rapid Response Center (Drohobych) from Lviv region are engaged in eliminating ice jams.
To eliminate the consequences of floods, units of the State Emergencies Service and utilities of Transcarpathian region were engaged; in total 248 people and 39 units of equipment, including: from the Office of the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine in Transcarpathian region 27 people and 9 units of equipment, 2 boats.
According to the forecasts of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, for the next 3 days, moderate sleet and rain is predicted.
The temperature during the day will be from 0 to +6 degrees; at night – from -3 to +2 degrees.
On February 4, ice drifting on the rivers of Transcarpathian region will continue, formation of ice jams with transient increase in water levels by 0.5-1.5 m is expected.
