Open-air office in the historic center of Uzhgorod: how it will work and for whom

This space combines the office of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration in the open air and art space. Currently, an exhibition of graduates and students of the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts is located under the awning.

The office will be open on weekdays during working hours, displays will change monthly, creative events, presentations, sports activities will take place there. Dmytro Pavlenko, an adviser to the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, who oversees the open office project, told the Varosh the details.

According to Dmytro, the alternative office is a mix of a counseling center and an art space. From Monday to Friday, from 9.00 to 16.45, in the open air office, citizens will be consulted by employees of the Department of Economic Development and Trade and the Department of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Cross-Border Cooperation. Meetings with deputies are also planned to be held every day.

Another mission is a cultural center. On August 6, the first exhibition of students and graduates of the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts opened here. It will last until the end of August, and there will be a new one in September.

The first exhibition is curated by Ivan Nebesnyk Jr., Candidate of Art History, lecturer at the Department of Design of the Transcarpathian Academy of Arts, artist.

The awning is very sturdy, so events can be held in any weather. This technology is used to create open-air locations around the world – for forums, festivals.

In the evening, the exhibition will be moved to a closed room, and the area is guarded by police and video surveillance.

Dmytro says that the office is still in the development project. And it will be working as long as it is warm outside.
