One of the reasons of the terrible accident in Hust was a pallet of paving slabs

As uzhgorod.in previously reported, on September 2 driver of "Ford", which was moving towards the center of Hust, did not noticed in the dark an obstacle – pallet of paving slabs – and crashed at speed into it. As a result of the accident 21-year old passenger lost both his legs in the area of ​​the knee. The car is delivered to impound lot, the driver shall be penalized.

However, the blame is not only on the the driver. Cobble, stacked on the roadway, was left there in violation of the rules, norms and standards for maintenance of highways and streets. In this regard, the Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Transcarpathian region reports that on August 30, 2012 Hust traffic police inspector issued order to the company responsible for construction works, with a demand to remove cobble from the road to avoid emergency situations. 

There is a protocol for the private entrepreneur who is responsible for repair work according to art. 140 part 3. of CAO (Violation of rules, norms and standards for maintenance of highways and streets, failure to timely prevent or limit movement or marking on roads and streets at the work area), which entails imposing penalty – reported Administartion of MIA of Ukraine in the Transcarpathian region.
