Six illegal migrants, who were on board of the helicopter that crashed in Slovakia on November 11, still have not been identified. However, at least one of them is likely to be a citizen of Iraq.
The head of the RSA received an e-mail with request for help find out the fate of an Iraqi citizen, who studied in Ukraine and decided to enter the EU illegally. The authors of the letter (also citizens of Iraq who have received higher education in Ukraine and stayed here) state that their friend was aboard the helicopter that departed to Slovakia from Ternopil or Lviv.
After the crash, they have not been able to contact the young man. All attempts to receive at least some information through diplomatic missions of Slovakia were unsuccessful.
The authors of the letter sent a photo of their friend, described what he wore that fateful day, and asked to find out whether he is among the victims.
Currently, the appeal has been sent to the management of the Chop border guard detachment requesting to contact their Slovak colleagues and receive relevant information.
Recall that on November 11 in eastern Slovakia, near the border with Ukraine, a Ukrainian helicopter "Mi-2" crashed. As a result of the crash, 8 people died, two of whom were citizens of Ukraine, and six were illegal migrants.
