Yesterday, April 13, in the morning, near the bus station in Uzhgorod, on Svoboda Ave., a terrible accident happened – two cars with Slovak license plates crashed. Reportedly, one of the drivers was drunk.
"The driver of a car Mercedes, an Uzhgorod resident born in 1988, driving on Svoboda Avenue towards Stantsiyna Street, collided with a parked car Audi A8. Both cars have license plates of Slovak Republic.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Mercedes was taken to the central city hospital. The diagnosis is a fracture of the femoral bone, tear-contused wound of the ear, bruised forehead and nose bridge. The driver now is in the hospital.
Also, there was a female passenger in the car who after being examined by a doctor was allowed to go home. The car is placed on the impound lot.
According to the report of medical examination for determining state of intoxication, the driver was driving while being intoxicated" – to the press service of the traffic police office in Transcarpathian region informed.
