Today, one hundred and fifty participants took part the charity race "Run to help", which was organized by the Uzhgorod Running Club. In this way, the city’s sports community decided to help orphans who are waiting for gifts for St. Nicholas Day.
The race traditionally started on Teatralna Square, the participants could choose one of the two distances: "I am an athlete" race (6 km, 3 laps) and "I am a benefactor" race (2 km, 1 lap). The team of Uzhgorod city council took part in the latter race.
According to the organizers, they raised about 20 thousand hryvnias, but the amount is not final, as some of the participants of the race registered online, so the money is still coming. They have already decided that some of the money raised will be donated to the children from the NGO My New Family, and the rest will be sent to one of the orphanages.
