On the occasion of Day of the City, the title of “Honorary Citizen of Uzhgorod” has been awarded

The title "Honorary citizen of Uzhhorod", which is awarded annually on the Day of the City, this year, by the decision of the deputies of the City Council at today’s session, will be awarded to:

Sokach Omelyan – People’s Artist of Ukraine, Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Academic Chamber Choir "Cantus";

Endre Szalipszki – diplomat of the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod in 2010-2014;

Janka Burianova – long-term Consul General of the Slovak Republic in Uzhgorod.

Honorary citizens residing in Uzhgorod and members of their families residing with them have a 100% benefit for housing and communal services (electricity, gas, water, rent, garbage disposal) and the right to free ride in public transport. Expenditures will be financed from the city budget.
