The updated "Electrons" will be delivered to Uzhgorod next week, Vitaliy Hotra, the director of the Uzhgorod municipal transport utility, told the Uzhgorod.net.ua.
In particular, he informed that the route No. 24 will have about 35 stops one way and will run from UzhNU to Dravtsi. It will run not through the center, but through the Novy neighbourhood, that is, it will take passengers on Yuri Gagarin and Zahorska streets. With this route, the city authorities plan to solve several problems – to unburden existing routes and at the same time to take people from the most difficult residential areas in the logistical sense.
Two buses will remain in reserve, new buses will be used for existing routes.
The head of the company also told about the changes that will make riding in the bus more comfortable.
The first is that the seats are completely modernized, more comfortable, with anti-vandal coating. The heating system in the bus has been changed: in the new "Electrons", the passenger compartment and the driver’s cab are heated separately.
Powerful fans were installed in the passenger compartment, the speed was increased, the air conditioning system in the driver’s cab was changed. The system of door mechanisms was completely changed (they open more smoothly, etc.).
Also, the bus passenger compartment is additionally equipped with filters that reduce the ingress of dust. Special brushes are also installed on the doors.
The emergency exits system was significantly improved, additional equipment was installed. The CCTV system was changed, a camera in the driver’s cab was added, now there are 6 cameras in the bus.
