On the last Sunday in October, Ukraine will switch to the winter time: on October 27 at 04.00, all clocks are to be reset one hour back.
Although the Ukrainians will have the extra hour, which they lost in March, experts say that the transition to the winter time can also adversely affect the health, the Ukrinform reported.
There may be sleep problems and a sense of excessive fatigue. This may cause immunity deficit which will lead to ill health, common cold, acute exacerbations of chronic ailments.
In addition, switching the clock one hour back means that we will wake up when it’s still dark, and go from work when it is already dark. And lack of light causes drowsiness, adversely affects mood and can even be a cause of depression.
