The next weekend in Transcarpathia will be filled with interesting and original festivals that bring together many visitors and attract tourists.
On Sunday (29.07) in the town of Volovets, there will be a traditional regional kolomyika festival "Pearls of Verkhovyna", which once again will demonstrate the diversity of local folklore.
At 13.00, the festive procession with music and singing will march in the center of the town to the main stage, and the grand opening of the festival will take place at 13.30. The program will include performances of folk musicians, pipers, kolomyika singers, folk groups, competition for the best performance of kolomyikas, etc.
In addition, there will be performances of the groups "Hudatska taistra" and "Lisapetny batalion", as well as the special guest of the festival – People’s Artist of Ukraine Pavlo Zibrov. Then, there will be festive fireworks and mass festivities on the central square of the town.
The same day, the International Ethnographic and Ecological "Pralis-Fest", which promotes the preservation of the flora and fauna of the Carpathian forests, will be held for the second time on the territory of the Uzhok National Park in the village of Stuzhytsia, Velyky Berezny district.
The visitors will be able to go to the virgin forests, that are included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites, to the Kreminets mountain, the peak of which is the point of converging of the state borders of Poland, Slovakia and Ukraine, to the place where the "Knyahynya" meteorite fell, and millennium oaks "Old Man" and "Champion".
The entertainment part of the festival will include cooking and sporting competitions, a festive concert featuring amateur groups and an evening music program. The official opening of the fest is at 13.00.
