On St. Nicholas Day, a charity marathon “Run – help!” will take place in Uzhgorod

On Sunday, December 18, a charity race "Run – help!" will be held in Uzhgorod. The event is held to popularize and promote healthy lifestyles, develop mass sports and raise funds to support the projects of the NGO "Happy Children" concerning assistance to orphans and children from poor families.

"The race is open to anyone, regardless of age and gender.

Therefore, we expect everyone near the monument of Mikolajczyk on Teatralna Square in Uzhgorod" – one of the organizers, representative of "Uzhhorod running club" Mykola Mashika informed.  According to Mykola, now there is an entire community of fans of running and healthy lifestyle in Uzhgorod. To join the community, one needs not to be an athlete.

The most important thing is to love running. And also, to be willing to do good deeds from time to time. "We decided that just running, especially on such day, is not enough. And so we decided to join the representatives of the "Happy Children" and thus help kids from orphanages and help in the implementation of other projects", – Mykola Mashika said.

The participation in the competition involves a charity contribution.   If the amount of a charitable contribution is more than 50 hryvnia, the race participant will receive a New Year St. Nicholas’s cap, a magnet with the logo of the race.
